Gyratory crusher breaking the rock

Gyratory crusher is used at the first stage or second stage of crushing process. Its basic working rule is similar to the jaw crushers. The assembly of this is that there are two major parts, one is called concave liners while second is called mantle liners. The material to be compacted is fed from the top side while on bottom side, shattered rock is obtained.

The material to be crushed is inserted from top, inside the machine, this rock need to pass through small gap. The rock reaches a circular section is inside the gyrator , made up concave liners (fixed) forming the outer body of gyrator , and a movable mantle .This movable mantle blocks the way of falling rock , it is moving slowly supported by the motor . Since the mantle is moving so the rocks get trapped in the mantle while falling is crushed by the force of mantle achieving breaking process.

Mantle is performing to and fro motion, which is causing the breakage of rocks.
